Sleeping beside my mom and yet missing her. Strange feeling. Today I was getting so irritated with the snore of a person in the bus journey. Now, my mom is snoring too. I m making a tune out of the patterns in her snore and singing myself a lullaby ! Weirdo!!!
Bonne nuit

Bus Journey
I usually travel from Mysore to Bangalore on weekends . This time I traveled during mid week due to the festivals. I tend to observe people on the bus journey . The way they speak , behave in a public place, talk over the phone , talk to others, listen to music, be a poseur , try to seek attention et al. The very unique and weird creatures are the IT people (like me). They are always on the phone talking to their better halves(note the plural) or just ear glued to their iPods. Some strike a conversation with me talking about their training tenure. Some play loud music on their phone speakers thinking that others might like their taste of music.
Now coming to yesterday's journey, the people in my focus were a bunch of villagers sitting right in front of me, two college going kids and a foreigner.
The college kids were staring at me throughout the journey like I was an alien. I ignored them and had a tight sleep with my head hanging over like a coconut .
I woke up only during the mid break at Maddur and just walked out of the bus in those hazy eyes and had some coffee. The foreigner was handsome. He wanted some coffee, so he directly went to the coffee bar and asked for one. The guy there guided him to get a coupon in local language. The foreigner just walked back to the bus . I wanted to help him though . But did not proceed. He had a amazing Canon gear. He was clicking almost every damn thing he saw. I had no clue what he was doing that for . I somehow adore these foreigners, the way they carry themselves and their attitude.
The bunch of villagers were chatting throughout the journey at their highest tones. They were stinking with the smells of the meadows . I slept despite their talks and the best part is that anything that they spoke were converted or heard like some talks related to my project like DLD, project management, team meeting, plans etc.
One conversation I heard when I was awake was :
Villager 1 : alla, ee vidyut tanthi olage current irathe. train hodre adu shock hodiyalwa ? ( Wont the electric trains get electrocuted because there is current passing through the wires ? )
Villager 2 : (The wise one) : illa kanLa, shock hoDiyalla. oLage sutch irthaythe. bekadre light hakothare . ( No , there wont be any shock. There is a switch inside which they can turn on for lighting purposes).
After sometime we reached Bangalore and they see the metro under construction :
Villager 1 : Yenappa idu, iStu dhooLu , yen bus hogathe mele ?
(There is so much of dust due to this construction . Will the buses ply over this ? )
Villager 2 : (The wise one) :Hu kaNla.. chik busgaLu avu , speed agi train thara hogtave.(yes, they are small buses that go like fast like a train.)
I was transfixed with the knowledge they have. No one to blame but the society!
Au revoir!
